The Humble And The Proud

For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. -Matthew 23:12 NIV

The Humble look to Christ as their vision. The Proud look to worldly gain, recognition and people’s approval as their vision.

Christ had a vision to save his chosen ones, and praise God that he obeyed it perfectly. But it led him to the cross. The road was not easy nor glamourous and certainly was not complete with men’s accolades. Christ suffered so that those who put their faith in him might have life. Christ looked to his Father for vision and followed him obediently all the way to his death.

Knowing Christ, abiding in him, and following obediently is the greatest vision you could have in your life. You can rest assured that, when you seek to know him, he will show you the specific paths in which you are to walk, while leading you by the power of the Holy Spirit. This will absolutely lead to doing the good works he has prepared in advance for you to do that you should walk in them.

May you who call Christ Lord and Savior, be humbled by his great glory and authority over your life, making him your vision and practicing whatever he would command you to do. Take up your cross and follow him, wherever he may lead.
