So the Lord blessed Job in the second half of his life even more than in the beginning….
–Job 42:12 NLT
You have given your all. You have been faithful and fearful of the Lord. You’ve been fair in all your dealings. You have given your very best. Yet when you look around you, you see little to no evidence of your effort.
Trying to encourage you, people may say not to despise your small beginnings (see Zechariah 4:10). You may look at them and think, “Easy for you to say, you don’t know what I have been through. You don’t know what I’m currently going through.”
While people do not know your full story, God knows. He knows all and He sees all. Even more, God knows your past. God knows your present. And God knows your future. He does not promise a quick fix—but He does promise that in the future our lives will be better than the beginning. Hang in there! The best is yet to come.
- Pray for God to give you the strength to keep going despite your past or present circumstances.
- Pray for wisdom and revelation from God to see your life through His eyes.
