The New You! – Part 2

Now we see a blurred image in a mirror. Then we will see very clearly. Now my knowledge is incomplete. -1 Corinthians 13:12 GW

Warning! As this inner transformation takes place, your old self will most likely rebel and resist the new you arising. When the old you tries to bring up deep-rooted dialog and behaviors, the new you needs to say, “Sorry, I’m done with you.

You are no longer a part of my new identity and life in Christ.” You may even pray, “Holy Spirit, help me to resist these lies so I can break out of the egg I’ve been stuck in. I want to spread my wings and fly high. Amen”.

As your distorted view peels away and positive godly impressions adhere to your mind, then you will see more clearly the wonderful person God is recreating you to become. No longer will you be tossed around by public’s view nor be measuring yourself against others, for you will have learned that your new identity is found in Christ.

You won’t be living by silly thinking, but by Christ-like thoughts that have been imprinted upon your renewed mind and heart. Over time, you will have gone through an inner spiritual makeover and will be astonished by the before and after. And don’t be surprised when God starts stretching you beyond your current sphere of influence.
