“How precious is your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.” Psalms 36:7-9 (NKJV)
Feral cats make their way about town getting into your garbage and tramping through your well-groomed flowerbeds. They are a public nuisance according to those who are not cat lovers. Those who are, see a frightened animal desiring to live through each day as it comes. They’re living in fear.
When compassion is shown to them, trust is limited on the cat’s behalf, but if the helping hand is patient enough (not displaying pressure or invasion), eventually trust is built leading a cat living in fear to a new dawn of hope, security, and safety.
It can be a cold, cruel world out there and for you. It’s a good day if you can just pull through. It can be lonely, frightening and uncertain. Sometimes any kindness leads you to doubt and hopelessness.
God knows the pressures of this world. He promises to overcome them but He wouldn’t dare be intrusive. With each passing day, you develop a relationship and trust that all of your needs can, and will be, taken care of turning your fear and hopelessness into courage and optimism.
Will you have faith He will bring you no harm, but deliver you into safekeeping?
