Leaving A Legacy

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders… -Hebrews 12:1 NIV

Paul writes in his letter to the Philippians, “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” The troubles you face in this world are fleeting; they serve only to distract you from your end goal in life. Whatever the case may be, the key to living out your legacy right now is having the end in mind.

The greatest legacy ever left on this earth started about two thousand years ago and still lives on today. A man named Jesus came into this earth and lived a life worthy to be praised.

However, He was not praised and at age 33, He died sacrificially on a cross. His legacy brought freedom and redemption for all the generations to come. Because of Jesus’ perseverance and because He kept His end goal in mind, you are set free.

Your legacy can change lives, it can change the course of future events and it can even change the world. With all that said, nothing will change if you don’t make a change. Live today as if it’s the last chance you get to breathe in God’s gift of air, and remember your legacy starts now.
