And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow. -Romans 8:38 NLT
You run across it every day—someone with a bad attitude. It is like a rain cloud in action: You wait for the explosion of the thunder and the inevitable mud to walk through. Your attitude is like a postcard.
In one quick picture it says what you are doing, where you have been and where you are going. It can be good or bad—it’s all in how you look at it. Abraham Lincoln posed a great question, “Should we complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses?”
When you experience someone having a bad day or an “attack” of attitude, be encouraged to have gratitude in Jesus’ attitude and walk in His caring footsteps. Be bold, even if only for a moment. Encourage what is possible and light up the day.
If possible, pray with them. If not, pray for them. Whether they know Jesus or not, His love will be spread. Send out an invitation to come in from the rain and let the “Son” shine!
Ask God to help you make Jesus the focus of your walk when you experience someone who is having a “bad” day.
Ask God to give you boldness to share His love.
