Let the Light In

“Whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done he has done through God.” –John 3:21 NIV

Mold is a lot like sin. When exposed to the light, it dries up and loses its stench.

Have you ever noticed where mold grows? It grows in dark and damp places. It thrives and festers there. When mold invades your home, it will immediately begin to affect your health, damage the structure of your house and can even lead to death if left unexposed. Yet, the cure for mold is so simple:  it can’t live in the light.

The same is true for sin. Our tendency is keep sin in the dark, hidden away deep within. The problem with that is that, like mold, when left unexposed to light it will fester and grow.

Like mold, it will make you sick, and will eventually lead to spiritual death. The cure for sin: Exposure to the Light.

Jesus is the light. When you confess your secrets, pains and addictions to Him, they lose all power to control and destroy you.

Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination. When you do this, the darkness of sin has no opportunity to take hold in your heart. Bring everything into the Light and as you do, others will see and believe in the healing power of Jesus Christ.
