The Lord Will Receive You

Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.

–Psalm 27:10 NIV

For many, the holidays can be reminders of things they don’t have. Whether vacations they can’t afford to take, presents they aren’t able to buy, or more importantly, not having anyone with whom to share these holidays.

Remember, you are never alone in this world. That is the absolute essence of Christmas. Jesus was born on earth so that God could inevitably have relationship with YOU. That’s how much He cares for you.

Whether your earthly mother or father loved you or not, your heavenly Father always will. Take time today to revel in that. Sit back and talk to God, spend time in His Word, and soak in His love. It will always be there.

Prayer Focus

  • Pray that God would point out specific Scripture to you that showcases His love for you.
  • Pray that others who may be lonely would know that they can always count on God’s love.
