What Love Looks Like | Friday | October 26

But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. –Psalm 86:15 NIV

If we truly understood just how much the Father loves us, our lives might look some- thing like this. We’d drive a Kia Soul, because our souls would finally be at peace. Or, we might drive an Optima, because we’d always be optimistic. Our favorite movie might be Happy Feet, and we’d love going out for Heavenly Hash ice cream after- ward. Our favorite perfume would be Heaven Scent. Our favorite candy bar would be Almond Joy, and we’d love eating passion fruit for breakfast. We’d go to the county fair for the Fun House, and we’d always eat their deep-fried Angel Food cake. We’d excel at sports because we’re one “tough cookie,” and we’d have a really cool victory dance. We’d have a hope chest in our home, and we’d sing, “I got the joy, joy, joy,” when it’s filled. Last but not least, we’d be tickled pink.

We’d know that no matter what happens, how it looks, how it feels, everything is going to be okay. Now this may sound a bit silly, but when we KNOW we’re loved by God, everything in our lives will reflect it. It really is A Wonderful Life when we know we’re loved.

Prayer Focus

  • Believe and know that God loves you!
  • Ask God to help you live a life that reflects His glory.
