Praying With Faith

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen, it gives us assurance about things we cannot see…And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. -Hebrews 11:1, 6 NLT

Sometimes God will awaken you in the middle of the night to pray for someone. Or He will lay a friend’s burdens heavy upon your heart. Sometimes, God lays it on your heart to pray for people you don’t know. God is always looking for those with a willing heart and an ear fixed upon His voice.

However, prayers are simply words if you do not attach faith. Sometimes, when the road is the bumpiest, it seems almost impossible to attach faith to anything, especially prayers when they seem to go unanswered—or unanswered in the timely fashion that you would choose. But the Bible is clear that without faith, it is impossible to please God.

You ARE worthy because you are HIS. He called you worthy, He called you beautiful, but best of all, He called you HIS child—His son and His daughter. God wants you to have faith like a child. Don’t try and figure out how something will happen; just trust that God will take care of it.

God makes it so easy for us all. You are called simply to believe—like you believe you’ll keep breathing, and like you believe the earth will keep spinning—you are called to believe in who God is and that His promises are true and unfailing.

Prayer Focus

  • Pray that no matter what you are facing, you would always know God is walking with you.
  • Ask God to help you know that He will never leave nor forsake you.
