Promises

I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten…

–Joel 2:25 NIV

Have you ever felt as if you will never get back what you lost? Not meaning monetary items. Those can be replaced. God is more concerned with your heart. Maybe you lost time with your children, parents, or friends. Maybe you don’t have peace because of an illness that stole years from your life.

The promise God gave you is, “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten.” What has the locust taken in your life? God promises to give it back to you. Take hold of His promise. Believe, no matter how long it takes, that God will fulfill His promise. Don’t give up.

Prayer Focus

  • God is faithful. Ask God for a specific verse, a promise just for you. Now thank God for that promise.
  • Ask the Holy Spirit to help you believe that God will keep this promise and not to put God on a time limit. Then watch in amazement how God will deliver. Truly amazing.
