The Power Of God

Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. -John 14:12 NIV

Simply knowing Jesus makes you capable of performing miracles in God’s name. He healed the sick, fed 5,000 people and even raised the dead.

If you believe this verse, then you believe you can do the same things… and more! But why is it that few people live that kind of Christianity.

Maybe your walk with God feels a little underwhelming or ordinary. Maybe God is somebody you hear about in church more than He is a daily presence in your life.

Maybe you’re going through something and resigned yourself to the idea that God isn’t going to be the God of John 14:12.

It’s time to change your thinking.

God is the same God today as He was thousands of years ago. He did the impossible then and He’ll do it now.

First, rekindle your relationship with Him. Get to know Him better by reading and praying. As you grow to know Him better, begin to expect that He will intervene in your life.

No matter what your situation, choose to believe the truth of God’s Word and then let Him do the rest.

Prayer Focus

  • Pray that God will remind you of His enormous power.
  • Pray that as you reach out to Him, you’ll experience Him in a new way
