How to Traverse the Rocky Paths

In the morning, O Lord, You will hear my voice; in the morning I will prepare [a prayer and a sacrifice] for You and watch and wait [for You to speak to my heart].

–Psalm 5:3 AMP

In every journey the terrain is sometimes smooth, but other times rocky. Sometimes God leads you through the desert, but other times it’s a raging river. To get across, God provides stepping stones to move above treacherous waters along His specifically directed path. Enemies will try to distract you along the way, trying to convince you that the path is too difficult, impossible, or not worth the time or effort.

God wants you to trust Him. According to Psalm 5:3, if you call upon Him, He will answer, regardless of the path in front of you.

Maybe today you’re struggling just to keep your head above water. Maybe you’re ready to give up because the victory seems so far away. Keep expecting God to answer. The answer might not come at the time you expect but it will come.

Prayer Focus

  • Thank God for stepping stones that enable you to cross above treacherous waters.
  • Ask Him for renewed strength when you feel defeated.
