The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
–Psalm 34:18 NLT
At times, do trials become more than you can handle? No one wants pain, whether it is emotional or physical. You live in a fallen world, and when sin entered, so did illness, pain, and death. This is reality. You will not always have answers nor will you always understand the outcome. Be steadfast in your thinking and believe that the battle is not yours but God’s. Have faith in the Lord. You never were meant to handle things alone.
There will be a day where there is no more pain. Revelation 21:4 (NLT) is a promise for you, “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” No one is exempt from the storms of life in the here and now. You need to trust and hold fast to Psalm 23:4 (NLT), “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.” The Lord will make a way, even in your darkest times.
- Trust the Lord that you are not alone in the storms of life.
- Thank Him for being secure in His arms.
