Yahweh Ropheka

…for I am the Lord, who heals you.

–Exodus 15:26 NIV

After the Israelites came out of Egypt, they came to a place in the wilderness called Marah, which is believed to have been a well or fountains where the water was very bitter, so they could not drink it. They complained and murmured against Moses. Moses cried out to the Lord and the Lord told Moses to throw a piece of wood into the water. Moses threw in the piece of wood and the water became sweet. The people of Israel were then able to quench their thirst.

The Lord God told the Israelites that if they followed His laws, His rules, and they would seek Him with all diligence, He would keep them from all disease (Exodus 15:26).

God wants only the very best for you. When you get to your “Marah,” instead of complaining and grumbling, you should focus on Jesus. He will meet your every need. It matters not if your illness is physical, spiritual, mental, emotional, or even financial, the Lord who heals can and will take control of every aspect of your life. Come now to your Yahweh Ropheka.

Prayer Focus

  • Holy Spirit, stir within me the desire to know my Yahweh Ropheka, the Lord my Healer.
  • Lead me, God, to pray for others without ceasing, for the spiritually, physically, emotionally, and mentally sick.
