You are Equipped and Qualified

I was the least qualified of any of the available Christians. -Ephesians 3:8 MSG

Have you ever encountered a situation you didn’t feel qualified to handle? Maybe a friend thinking of leaving his/her spouse, a buddy fallen into drugs, a friend thinking of quitting on life…? But what qualifies you?

The truth is, it’s never been about you.  Paul said he is the least qualified, but God saw to it that he was equipped.  It’s your relationship with God through Jesus that qualifies and equips you to speak into the lives of others.  John 15:5 says that as you remain in Christ and He in you, you will bear much fruit, fruit that will last.  In fact, the only way you disqualify yourself is by not abiding, because you can do nothing apart from Christ, (John 15:6).

When you abide and remain in close relationship with Christ, He qualifies you.  Therefore, you don’t have to worry about “messing up,” because, as Paul said, God handles all the details and He sees to it that you are equipped for every good work.

When you listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, you will have the right words to say and know what to do in all situations.  You are equipped and qualified because of the One who lives in you.
