Taking Action

Jesus told the man, “Get up, pick up your cot, and walk.”  The man immediately became well, picked up his cot, and walked.   –John 5:8-9 GW

Reading and hearing are just part of the learning equation. This is why teachers assign their students homework – so they can reinforce what they have learned. One of the best ways to strengthen and truly understand the biblical teaching you receive is to take action on it.

Beliefs tend to guide actions, which is why regular Bible study is so vital to your spiritual growth. If you find yourself struggling with taking action on biblical principles you’ve learned about, it’s best to seek the Lord about what is hindering you.

As you learn from the Bible your heart and mind will be transformed, which will become evident in your daily life. Your faith will be strengthened when you receive, believe and integrate biblical truth and use it to guide your actions. This will cause you to grow and become the person the Lord has designed you to be.
