Living Your God Given Purpose

“for it is God who works in you… to fulfill his good purpose.” ~ Philippians 2:13 NIV

If you’ve ever built a house, it’s more than just picking out paint and curtains. There are several steps involved even after the initial design. There are several finishing touches that need to be decided upon such as the type of countertops for the kitchen and bathrooms, backsplash behind the kitchen sink, the type of flooring in the living areas and bedrooms, and so on.

We love and serve a God who is very much into the details. We all start as the same basic model, but then each person’s gifts, talents, and abilities are shaped according to God’s master plan so that each person will have exactly what is needed to fulfill his or her God-given purpose for their lives.

Unlike the specifically designed houses, however, several people still aren’t living out their God-given purpose for their lives. For some, it’s because they don’t know their purpose. For others, it’s because they haven’t yielded their lives into alignment with God’s Word to enable them to fulfill their purpose. At Bayside, it is our desire that each person would discover their “10” and, thereby, be living and serving in their “sweet spot”. We have the Discovery Seminar to help you discover your “10”.

Prayer Focus

  • Am I using my gifts and talents for Christ?
  • Pray that God shows you how to free up time in your busy schedule for service.
