For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.
–Hebrews 3:4 NIV
Is it any wonder Jesus was a carpenter? God, the Father, is a skilled craftsman, constantly building bridges, connections, and relationships between and among us for His glory. If God is the master builder, then each of us is a tool in His mighty hands. He may not need a chisel or an awl every single day, but when He does, be ready for Him to use you as He pleases. Make yourself available.
If God needs you to reach people with the written word, you’re a pen in His capable hands. If He needs you to build homes and hospitals and shelters, you’re a hammer. If He needs you to speak life into the lifeless, you’re a megaphone. If He needs you to shine His light into the darkest places, you’re a beacon. How will you let God use you today?
- Ask God every day to use you as He sees fit.
- Trust God to provide the resources, skills, and wisdom you will need when you answer His call to action.
