What Is Your Valley?

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. -Psalm 23:4 ESV

Have you ever been afraid walking through the lows in life that God will not bring you out again? We all have mountaintop moments and we all walk through valleys. The mountaintops are where you feel spiritually strong, secure, and unstoppable. The valleys are the more challenging times when God operates in and grows you.

The unknown can be scary and a lot of times when presented with an area that needs growth it’s hard to step into that unknown. But God says, “Don’t be afraid to walk through this, for I will go down with you, and I will bring you back up again.” God will not leave you in your valleys; He will help you walk and grow through them. You will not go through them alone, but will have God to walk beside and guide you.

What is your valley? What are you walking through, but aren’t sure God ever intends to bring you out of? Don’t be afraid! God promised He will never forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:8). He will comfort and guide you through your valleys.

Prayer Focus

  • Thank God that it is His desire that you would know His promises intimately and firmly.
  • Pray that God would be with you today.
