I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain,“May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,” and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.
–Mark 11:23 NLT
In Genesis 2, God told Adam and Eve that they were free to eat from any tree in the garden except from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. In Genesis 3, Satan put doubt into Eve’s heart when he asked her if God really had said that she would die from eating from that tree.
Doubt can creep into your life so quickly that you don’t know that it is there. Satan only needs a crack to release a flood of doubt into your life, and he loves it when you believe his lies. Has Satan engaged you in conversation? Say no to that voice, and yes to the voice that offers hope, healing, and victory—the voice of your Father who loves you extravagantly.
- Ask God to reveal to you any doubt that you may have in your heart.
- Pray for God to reveal His word to you in times of doubt.
